North Somerset Drugs & Alcohol Training Event 21st April

Community Pharmacists and their support staff play a vital role in the care of people un-dergoing treatment for drug and alcohol dependence, and we want to support you to help us ensure the best quality care for our clients.
Addaction are the providers of drug and alcohol treatment services in North Somerset. This includes people who have become dependant on over-the-counter and prescribed drugs, as well as illicit substances.
We invite you to come along to hear about our services, and how we can work together to support our clients in their journey towards recovery from drugs and alcohol.
Dr Ben Sessa (Consultant Psychiatrist) will be giving an overview of the treatment services, including a discussion on novel psychoactive substances (‘legal highs’). We are also plan-ning an interactive session on motivational interviewing (moving people towards change) and we will also be giving you an overview of the naloxone distribution scheme.
